Your assessment findings will be explained to you and your treatment options will be presented and performed.

Physical Therapy Treatment may consist of all or some of the following:

  • Manual Therapy inclusive of joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilizations such as myofascial release, trigger point release, retrograde massage for swelling control, Graston technique, manual traction for cervical and lumbar spine, manual cervical traction, manual stretching, muscle energy techniques
  • Therapeutic Exercise with an individualized program created based on your goals and findings from your examination
  •  Neuromuscular re-education inclusive of postural training, balance and propioception training, retraining to improve coordination and motor sequencing, utilization of kinesiotape if appropriate and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation for improving muscle firing patterns
  • Gait training promoting efficient and normalized gait mechanics for prevention and restoration of walking after injury
  • Therapeutic Pilates-based rehabilitation consisting of an individualized program designed to improve dysfunctional movement patterns, increase strength, endurance, range of motion and flexibility allowing for promotion of homeostasis in the body and prevention of reoccurence of injury
  • Functional training allowing for correct incorporation of your gains made in therapy into your movement, Sports-specific training with sports drills utilizing efficient motor patterns
  • Orthotics and/or footwear recommendations (if needed)
